A North Staffordshire housing group has achieved two prestigious UK accolades for its people management and superlative service skills.
The Aspire Group has been successful in its bid to become an Investors in People Champion, having already been awarded the organisation’s coveted ‘gold’ standard.
The organisation, which consists of Aspire Housing, PM Training and the Realise Foundation, now joins an elite group of around 90 businesses nationwide that can be held up as role models for other firms working towards IIP accreditation.
Ele Morrissey, Aspire’s Head of People and Performance, who has helped lead to the group’s five year campaign to achieve IIP’s top awards, said: “This is a fantastic accolade for the whole organisation.
“Our people development practices are central to our overall success. The fact that there is now external recognition of this is something we are all proud of.
“We are now able to mentor other organisations, who can benchmark their activities against what we do, and share our best practice, and also encourage suppliers to work with Investors in People.”
Through its in-house Talent Academy, Aspire goes to great lengths to nurture its employees’ potential in order to ensure they achieve peak performance.
As well as benefiting the individual, the fast track project helps maintain a continuous source of the skills vital for the organisation’s future.
Sinead Butters, Chief Executive of the Aspire Group, said: “This is recognition of the commitment and dedication and the continued pursuit of excellence in our workforce.”
The Champions programme is designed to recognise and reward organisations with an outstanding record in promoting IIP values, and which are willing to ‘share and learn’ best-practice techniques.
* Aspire has also revealed that it has been re-accredited as an Investor in Excellence, a quality mark recognising the group’s dedication to excellent service and continuous improvement.
