New Recycling Bins for Newcastle-under-Lyme Residents

Written by Admin | Feb 28, 2022 9:00:00 AM

Aspire Housing have worked closely with Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council to give our customers in the Hempstalls area, access to new recycling facilities!

This new recycling initiative for our residents currently livig in flats within the Hempstalls area will help to dramatically reduce rubbish being collected. The recycling facilities will allow residents to recycle items such as: mixed paper and card, plastic bottles, pots, tubs, trays, cans tins, clean foil, glass bottles and much more. Recycling is a great step in the right direction environmentally, supporting our Greener Futures project.

It was lovely to see the new recycling bins being delivered to our flat blocks in Hempstall's today. The new bins will make recycling much easier for our residents. We all need to look at ways to reduce and recycle our waste to help combat climate change I'm looking forward to seeing this rolled out to more flat blocks.

- Chloe Challinor, Greener Futures Project Lead at Aspire Housing.

We are very pleased to be working closely with the council to make this project happen. We'd like to say thanks to the team over at Achieve Training who have been a brilliant support with the delivery of the bins and their support provided with the recycling collection days in the future.

‘We are all delighted that residents here at the Hempstalls in Newcastle-under-Lyme have been given new recycling facilities. Many residents will probably be surprised at the vast reduction of their normal household waste!

– Jane Finnemore, Development Manager, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council.
