Can you believe it’s been 10 years since we launched Mill Rise community living scheme in Cross Heath?
Mill Rise was the first purpose-built extra care scheme in Newcastle-under-Lyme and has served as a wonderful home to many residents since it first opened its doors in 2009.
So, what better way celebrate a 10th birthday than with a fabulous garden party? We invited 60 residents and their families to a fun-packed event in the glorious sunshine, and everybody had a blast!
We had the pleasure of welcoming the Worshipful Mayor of Newcastle-under-Lyme Councillor Simon White to meet the residents, whilst Boogie Beats and singer Derek West kept all of the guests thoroughly entertained. It was a fun day for all involved, with a sand pit, paddling pool and bouncy castle for the kids.
It was lovely to see our customers getting together and sharing what they love about living at Mill Rise, with some even sharing their thoughts in a video.
As one of our customers commented, “The 10th birthday celebration was a great success – a most enjoyable and memorable occasion!”
