Gas Safety Week is an annual safety week to raise awareness of gas safety and the importance of taking care of your gas appliances. This week is coordinated by Gas Safe Register, the official list of gas engineers who are legally allowed to work on gas.
Ensuring Gas Safety in your home and environment is important and is something we continually consider.
We prioritise the safety of our customers, keep our homes safe and we support our customers to stay safe, whether that’s through annual safety checks, or offering advice.
Some of these annual checks can include a gas tightness test, carbon monoxide (CO) and smoke alarm testing, checking appliances, and our planned boiler replacement programme.
Some things that you can do to stay gas safe:
- Check for warning signs that could indicate a gas appliance isn’t working correctly. Report any issues to us.
- Check your knowledge and know what to look out for.
- Test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms every week.
- Allow us access to perform our necessary checks to you safe.
