Achieve Training update
It is with regret that we announce that Achieve Training will be closing on 31st October 2022, following a sustained period of financial strain. The business has seen a significant drop in learner numbers, mainly due to the pandemic and national apprenticeship reforms. In addition, funding models and operational guidance has changed, which has introduced many new challenges for the business.
The overall result has been that Achieve’s income has been declining rapidly, which has caused significant issues for the business. We have investigated a number of options to prevent the closure which have been unsuccessful and as a result Achieve Training will cease operating at the end of October.
We are working with colleagues, suppliers, funders including the Education Skills Funding Agency, employers, learners and apprentices to transfer learning to alternative providers and are committed to minimising the disruption to learners.
Achieve Training, formerly PM Training, has been an important part of our group since 2008. Since it was established 40 years ago, the organisation has done some tremendous work across North Staffordshire, supporting thousands of young people into apprenticeships and sustainable employment.
