Residents enjoy Chesterton Cake Off!

Residents in Chesterton enjoyed taking part in the great Chesterton Cake Off on Friday….

Members of the community were asked to simply decorate a cake and bring it along to the Chesterton Community Centre.

Open to all ages, the cake off prizes were £100 for the best decorated cake, £50 for the second best and £25 for third.

Congratulations go to the following winners:

1st Place — Wendy Pettifer

2nd place — Chesterton Lone Parents Group

3rd place — Teddies Nursery Chesterton

The cake off was part of Aspire Housing’s neighbourhood plans, to help make Chesterton a better place in which to live. It follows on from Aspire’s neighbourhood plans improving Crackley and Poolfields.

Aspire Housing owns 690 homes in Chesterton and is consulting with residents to introduce neighbourhood plans to help them to build safer, greener, healthier and stronger communities. The plans also tackle unemployment and antisocial behaviour.

Congratulations to all bakers who entered cakes into our competition, here are so more photos of them.
