Housing minister Grant Shapps visited PM Training today (Thursday, 3 November) as part of a tour of Stoke-on-Trent.

He was in Stoke-on-Trent to announce funding to help complete housing regeneration projects in the city.
Officers and councillors from Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency joined with PM Training to outline how the two organisations are working together to create jobs and improve housing across North Staffordshire.
They told him about projects including the Youth Refurbishment scheme which will see 41 empty homes bought and renovated by apprentices from PM Training before being rented by Aspire Housing.
Will Nixon, chief executive of Enterprising Futures, the social enterprise arm of the Aspire Group, said: “The Government announced a housing strategy on Monday which is very clearly linked to creating training and jobs through housing.
“There is no better example than the Aspire Group of how a housing association is already delivering the Government’s housing strategy.
“The minister was keen to visit us and was very impressed by what he saw and heard.”
