Aspire builds on success of jobs fair to help local people find work

Following the success of last year’s Jobs Fair, the Aspire Group is holding its second fair in Newcastle.

Last year over 350 local people attended our event held at the New Vic Theatre and Aspire predicts this year’s fair will be even better.

Members of the public are encouraged to come and talk to local employers about vacancies and apprenticeships.

Younger members of the public will be able to talk to PM Training about Access2, apprenticeships and training opportunities.

Local organisations will also be offering advice on training and volunteering opportunities to help get back into work.

The Aspire employment and skills team will be running a virtual jobs hub, assisting customers to fill in online applications on the day as well as giving help and advice on how to write the perfect CV.

Will Nixon, Deputy Chief Executive of the Aspire Group, said: “Following the success of last year’s jobs fair, Aspire wants to continue to help improve local people’s lives by showing them how to find training and work opportunities. At PM Training, we have around 200 vacancies every year for apprenticeships and a range of opportunities available – just pop in to the fair to find out more.”
